I handle the weekday morning and midday news on 1150 WIMA. I also take care of our news content on the web, Facebook, etc.
During the high school football season, I'm busy back at the station updating our text score updates, gathering final scores, and getting them on during Touchdown Ticker every Friday night from 10p-11p.
I also enjoy being the host of the weekly Buckeye Tailgate Parties during the football season.
Todd also throws me a bone once in a while as well, getting to do play-by-play for area games on our broadcast schedule. |

Elliott Randall: Still Reeling In- After All These Years

Elliott Randall is well known in the rock and roll music world, and has been, for a number of years. He helped Steely Dan create one of their most popular tracks, "Reelin' in the Years", with that famous guitar part. He's also worked with other groups and musicians. And, he has a fond place in his heart for Lima, OH, as he showed this past week, by doing a clinic with young aspiting musicians, and then playing at Rally in the Square. Despite what your individual political beliefs may be, you gotta believe that this is the greatest place in the work to live, work, raise a family, eat hot dogs, go to baseball games, museums, parks, do whatever it is you desire to do.
If you choose, you can even celebrate our Independence by saluting one of the original signers of the breakaway from British rule back in 1776. Yep, Sam Adams, the brewer from Massachusetts, signed it.

Concert Review: Midwest Rock and Roll Express

At Riverbend Music Theatre, Tuesday, June 26, 2012

This was a triple bill, with "Uncle" Ted Nugent, then REO Speedwagon, followed up by Styx.
Overall, a great show. I'd never seen Nugent before, and he does not hold his opinions back at all. He's also a helluva guitar player, and his band was right on.
REO Speedwagon did most of their classics, with Kevin Cronin and his bleached-blonde hair looking a bit different from the late 70's and early 80's.
Styx was excellent as well, even bringing out original bassist Chuck Panozzo for a few tunes.
Riverbend is a nice venue. I'd been there (on the lawn, which is now wquipped with an astro-turf like substance instead of real grass and mud). We sat in the pavilion, straight away from the stage.
