ODOT to Fund Safe Routes to Schools

Wapakoneta will be getting a grant worth 475-thousand dollars.

The Ohio Department of Transportation has awarded 16-million dollars in federal transportation funds for 68 projects around the state- aimed at the Safe Routes to Schools Program.

Wapakoneta will be getting a grant worth 475-thousand dollars.

The city will also be receiving 2-thousand dollars under the non-infrastructure project category.

This is the highest amount of funding that the program has ever distributed at one time.
