Authorities were notified of the crash around 5pm on Thursday- although there were no witnesses.

A motorcycle crash in Logan County off US 33 claimed the life of a rider from Cairo.

The Marysville Post of the State Highway Patrol says 46 year-old Tracy Terhark lost control of the bike- slid down an embankment- and ended up in a nearby cornfield off US 33.

Authorities were notified of the crash around 5pm on Thursday- although there were no witnesses.

Terhark was not wearing a helmet- and the accident is still under investigation.
