Grant Awarded to Cooper Tire for Work on New Material

Back in October of 2011, Brown wrote a letter to the USDA requesting full and fair consideration of Cooper Tire's application for funding.

Senator Sherrod Brown announced that the Cooper Tire and Rubber Company based in Findlay has been awarded a grant of more than 6-million dollars from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Grant funds will be used by Cooper Tire to develop new rubber tires and bio-energy fuel.
