2 more fatal crashes took place in Mercer County this past weekend.

The first crash happened Saturday just before 7pm on Tama Road.

37 year-old Steven Kable of Celina, was driving east going into a curve when he swerved and caused his Toyota to slide sideways across the road. The car hit a telephone pole and rolled several times before stopping in a cornfield on the north side of the road. Kable was thrown out of the car and died at the scene- he was not wearing a seat belt.

Early Sunday morning, there were two crashes within minutes of each other on State Route 49 between Oregon and Kock Roads. Police said they got a call about horses on the road.

63 year-old Noland Kirk of Fort Wayne, Indiana hit the horses. Kirk's vehicle then rolled onto its top and slid into a cornfield. Police said as the car continued to roll, Kirk was thrown from the vehicle- and died at the scene.

Another car then hit the two horses, which were then laying in the road. Angela Jenkins of Decatur, Indiana, was driving. Kathleen Dolan of Monroe, Indiana, and 9 year-old Emma Boomershime were in Jenkins' car. Dolan was transported to a hospital, but her condition wasn't released.

Both horses also died.
