Commissioner Vince Schroeder thinks that the widening of the road is needed as a safety precaution.

On Friday the Putnam County Commissioners held another public hearing- before voting on whether or not to pass the Road 5 widening project.

Many Putnam County residents were present to speak out against the project moving forward.

Commissioner Vince Schroeder thinks that the widening of the road is needed as a safety precaution.

Friday was the final hearing- and the widening of Road 5 will continue as planned- after it passed by a 2 to 1 margin. A lawsuit against the move is also pending.
