Patrol Car Struck while parked during Traffic Stop

The sergeant on the scene was treated and released from Joint Township District Hospital in Saint Mary's.

A state patrol car was struck- as it was parked during a traffic stop- early Sunday morning- along state route 501 in Auglaize County.

27 year-old John Williams of Wapakoneta was driving a Ford pick-up.

After striking the cruiser- he was ordered to stop- but attempted to flee on foot- but was caught and taken into custody.

The sergeant on the scene was treated and released from Joint Township District Hospital in Saint Mary's.

Williams is facing traffic charges- including O-V-I.
