Diller went on to star in her own variety show- and teamed up numerous times with another entertainer with Ohio ties- Bob Hope.
The Northwest Ohio Independent Film Festival- which took place in Lima this summer- gave their 2012 Lifetime Achievement Award to Phyllis Diller.
