Grant Coming for Putnam Co Soil and Water

The Agency was one of 4 Ohio entities awarded to a total of more than 2-hundred thousand dollars in Conservation Innovation Grants

The Putnam County Soil and Water Conservation District is set to receive a 75-thousand dollar grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service.

The Agency was one of 4 Ohio entities awarded to a total of more than 2-hundred thousand dollars in Conservation Innovation Grants for “innovative- on the ground conservation technologies and approaches”.

The Putnam County conservation district plans to use its grant to show the effectiveness and feasibility of managing crops and improving the environment through phosphorus management.
