The structure is gutted- not completely destroyed- and the soup kitchen building was not damaged- as they were able to open today.

Smoke and flames filled the air in downtown Lima on Monday night- near the corner of Spring and Central.

A warehouse- that sits next door to the Our Daily Bread Soup Kitchen on Central Avenue- caught on fire- as Lima Fire crews responded to the call just after 8pm.

The structure is gutted- not completely destroyed- and the soup kitchen building was not damaged- as they were able to open today.

One lane of Central was blocked off directly in front of the buildings- as crews are still monitoring the structure- wanting to prevent any flare-ups.
