Doctor Erin Rinto from Saint Rita's Medical Center received a "special recognition" award- for her efforts back in June- on the night of an accident- when a car unexpectedly ran into a crowd at downtown Lima's Rally in the Square.
The annual Lima-Allen County Safe Community Coalition awards took place at the Lima F-O-P Hall on Tuesday.
Several nominees from different safety categories were selected as award winners.
