Mike Chartrand- who is for the passage of the levy- was also on hand- and said he felt for the parents and the students- but said problems would only get worse if it does not pass.
Several parents gathered at a west end residence on Tuesday morning- to voice their concerns against the passage of the Lima Schools Levy- mainly because they feel bullying is out of control in the schools.
Susan Haggard spoke of an incident involving her son one year ago- saying he was knocked unconscious- and was never treated properly by school officials.
Other parents spoke of gang activity that has led to violence off of school property- and other incidents that continue- even after students have been disciplined.
