Probation Violations Brought Up in Case involving Man who received Early Release

Judge Richard Warren continued community control with the Adult Parole Authority for 4 years- but also gave Lane a 60 day sentence in the Allen County Jail.

A man who went to jail- and was given early release on a 4-year sentence for aggravated vehicular homicide- was back in Allen County Court on Tuesday- facing probation violation charges.

Testimony was given by 2 probation officers who have dealt with Andrew Lane over the past year.

Allen County Assistant Prosecutor Terri Kohlreiser said recent violations that came to light- after he was stopped on a traffic violation- and K-2 and Xanax were found in his vehicle- reflect on the crime he committed back in 2008.

Lane was the driver of a car that was speeding- and went off the road in December 2008- leading to the death of 2 female teenage passengers.
