Several local and state dignitaries were on hand for the ceremony on the site of the future Lima Energy Company Technology Innovation Center.

A program that has been in the works since 1998 finally had its groundbreaking on Lima's south end on Friday morning.

Several local and state dignitaries were on hand for the ceremony on the site of the future Lima Energy Company Technology Innovation Center.

The project recently received a boost in funding from Third Eye Capital based in Canada.

Lima Mayor Dave Berger was one of the featured speakers.

The chair of Lima Energy- Harry Graves- said he looked forward to seeing the facility built- and seeing growth locally and regionally.
