A celebration breakfast took place on Wednesday at the Old Barn Out Back Restaurant.
Several non-profit groups in the Lima area received early holiday gifts this year- thanks to a special program operated by the United Way.
Volunteers from area businesses and companies help these non-profits with odd jobs and repairs- through the Extreme Community Makeover Project.
David Voth- the executive director of Crime Victim Services- said it is a great program for all who get involved.

Most Recovered Space Award: General Dynamics for work at Crime Victim Services
Most Overdue Project: Husky Energy Team for work at united Way of Greater Lima
Just for Kids Award: St. Rita’s Medical Center for work at The Arc
Best New Partners Award: Lima Memorial for work at the Bradfield Center
Brighten Your Corner Award: Procter & Gamble for work at the YMCA Annex
“Lots” of Improvement Award: Potash Corp for work at Lima Salvation Army
Permanent Improvement Award: Smith Boughan for work at the American Red Cross
