29 year-old Tavares Meeks of Lima later succumbed to his injuries- and an autopsy has been scheduled.

Lima Police are investigating a shooting that occurred on Lima’s lower eastside on Thursday around midnight.

It was in the 700 block of Dingledine Avenue where a victim of a gunshot wound was located- and officers were also notified that there was another gunshot victim at Lima Memorial hospital.

Both victims were believed to be together when the incident occurred..

29 year-old Tavares Meeks of Lima later succumbed to his injuries- and an autopsy has been scheduled.

Detectives are pursuing several leads at this time but are requesting the assistance of the public for any information related to this incident.
