5th Ward Council Member Teresa Adams says that an updated ordinance would allow handicapped drivers with proper signage to park at metered spots for free.
Members of Lima City Council’s Safety Services Committee met to update an ordinance on handicapped parking throughout the downtown area.
As it stands now- marked parking spaces allow an additional two hours for cars with marked handicapped signage.

The ordinance is up for discussion- and when it comes back to the committee- Adams hopes that they will have feedback from area businesses.
