As most flood warnings begin to expire- drivers- especially in rural areas- still need to be aware of areas where high water exists.

A driver of a vehicle ended up in icy waters on Tuesday night after driving into a flooded part of state Route 49.

According to the Van Wert County Sheriff’s Office- the teenage driver apparently drove around a "Road Closed" sign north of Willshire.

Rescue crews responded to the call around 8-30 on Tuesday night.
