City Law Director Tony Geiger explained on Wednesday that it had to do with Syngenta being forced to pay municipalities in a settlement- for their production of atrizene.
A lawsuit dating back to 2004- that in recent years- included Lima- has been settled- and Lima will reap some of the benefits.

Deputy Utilities Director Mike Caprella said it proves that hard work and record keeping can pay off.
Caprella said the money will go into the utilities capital improvement fund.
Findlay and Ottawa also received money from the settlement.
