23 year-old Bridgette Staley was struck near Pelton Road, according to the Wood County Sheriff's Office.. The incident was reported about 3 am.

A Bluffton woman is in critical condition at a Toledo hospital after being struck by a vehicle on Sunday while walking on State Route 199 just north of Fostoria.

23 year-old Bridgette Staley was struck near Pelton Road, according to the Wood County Sheriff's Office.. The incident was reported about 3 am.

Staley was taken to ProMedica Community Hospital in Fostoria- and then transferred to a Toledo hospital by medical helicopter.

Deputies identified the driver who struck Staley, but did not release the name.
