ODOT Discusses Phase 2 Reconstruction of I-75 through Lima

District 1 Deputy Director of O-DOT- Kirk Slusher- explained that he knows with road construction projects comes more slowdowns- but asks motorist’s to be patient.

Last night a public meeting took place at the Howard Johnson on Harding Highway- regarding phase two of the Interstate 75 Reconstruction project in Allen County.

District 1 Deputy Director of O-DOT- Kirk Slusher- explained that he knows with road construction projects comes more slowdowns- but asks motorist’s to be patient.

Phase two will reconstruct the existing lanes of I-75 from Fourth Street to just north of route 81- it also includes reconstruction of the 81 and routes 117 and 309 interchanges- a safety upgrade to 309 east of the I-75 interchange- and the reconstruction and realignment of 81 from Neubrecht to Stewart Road.

Construction on this phase will being in early March- and completion is expected in 2015.
