Just yesterday I called Obama out on his lie that we do not have a domestic spying program. Despite what he wants you to believe, we have the capability to spy on every American for foreign and, yes, domestic purposes. I even told you yesterday about how that information is being used in domestic crime cases and then the government is covering up how that information came to be known!
Last last night we learned that the scandal-ridden IRS played a part in this parallel construction of domestic cases. Reuters reports: Details of a U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration program that feeds tips to federal agents and then instructs them to alter the investigative trail were published in a manual used by agents of the Internal Revenue Service for two years. The entry was removed from the IRS manual in 2007, but it speaks to the depth of potential corruption that exists within big government and exemplified by the IRS.
Then today, even more information has come to light. The New York Times (of all places) has published a piece explaining how the infamous NSA is searching the contents of vast amounts of Americans e-mail and text communications into and out of the country. That information, by the way, is collected without a warrant. Remember when Obama told us that nobody is reading your emails? So much for that!
