Here's my recap of Week 4 of High School Football:

NWC

Top Performance: L.C.C. defeated Columbus Grove, 40-8.

My'kale Rogers put on a show with 4 TD's, including an 85 yard kickoff return to open the game.

I knew L.C.C. had speed but you can't appreciate it until you see it live.

In addition to Rogers they have Darius West, Lee Stewart and Kalito Lasenby that jumped out at me as being obviously at another level.

And QB Colin Stolly isn't exactly slow.

Lasenby in particular stood out for me because I wasn't as keyed in on him prior to last week. He gets there in a hurry from his MLB spot and he brings the pain. He has a ferocity about him that got my attention.

And let's not forget Sam Huffman. He's the complete package and is as sure a tackler as I've seen.

Honorable Mention: Bluffton defeated Crestview, 25-21.

The Pirates kept hope alive for a winning and/or playoff season with the road win. Crestview was turned away as Bluffton knocked down a pass in the end zone late in the game.

Western Buckeye League

Top Performance: Kenton defeated Shawnee, 66-42.

In particular QB Grant Sherman was a top performer, setting a Ohio HS record with 684 yards passing and tied the state record with 9 TD passes. Simply amazing.

Honorable Mention: Celina beat Wapakoneta, 24-21.

The Bulldogs continue to impress as they held off Wapakoneta in Celina to move to 3-1. They're a two-point conversion away from maybe being undefeated. A 28-26 loss at Ottawa Glandorf is their only blemish to this point.

Midwest Athletic Conference

Top Performance: Coldwater. Defeated Delphos St. Johns, 41-6.

That says it all. Cavs are on a mission. Nothing less than 15-0 is acceptable.

Even as rugged as the MAC is, I have no doubt this team will not lose a game this season.

As for DSJ, let's not forget, they lost to Marion Local 42-0 and to Coldwater 38-7 in 2008. That team won the Division VI State Title. So hang with 'em Jays fans, it's a long season.

Honorable Mention

St. Henry. Beat Minster, 35-21.

It looks like the Redskins are set to return to the upper half of the MAC following back to back losing seasons. They are now 3-1 overall and 1-1 in the MAC. In 2010 and 2011 combined St. Henry was 4-16 overall and 3-13 in the conference.

Blanchard Valley Conference

Top Performance: Arlington. Defeated P-G, 34-13.

If the Red Devils are to record a ninth consecutive winning season, that was a must win.

Honorable Mention: Arcadia. Defeated Cory Rawson, 21-12.

The Redskins are hoping to post back to back winning seasons and this was win number three.

My Area Top 10:

Very little change this week. St. Henry enters the poll at the expense of Minster and I've flip-flopped L.C.C. and Elida.

1. Findlay

2. Coldwater

3. O-G

4. L.C.C.

5. Elida

6. Marion Local

7. Celina

8. Kenton

9. St. Henry

10. McComb
