As we head into the final week of the high school football regular season, here is the playoff picture involving local teams (the empirical data is taken from analysis by joeeitel.com and fantastic50.net):

Division III - Region 10

7. Elida

Dawgs are currently seventh in the Region and control their own destiny. If they win at Defiance they are IN.

However, a home game is not possible.

Drew Pasteur's Fantastic 50 site projects Elida as the 7 seed at Bellevue (the same team the Bulldogs routed in last year's opening round).

Region 14

2. Ottawa Glandorf

The Titans will finish 10-0 when they beat Van Wert Friday and will host a game.

Deliciously, the projections of Fantastic 50 says they'll be the #2 seed and host Kenton.

8. Kenton

Mathematically speaking, Kenton must beat Wapakoneta and get a little help but Pasteur projcets all that will happen.

That would be awesome for an opening round game!

Region 18

1. L.C.C.

T-Birds will be no worse than #2 and will host an opening round game.

The projection is they'll be #1 and take on Wayne Trace.

4. Liberty Benton

If the Eagles beat Van Buren they're IN. Pasteur's projections have them at #5, visiting Columbia Station HS.

11. Spencerville

The Bearcats need to win at Delphos Jefferson and get some help.

Pasteur's site projects that they will NOT get in. It also says the chances they get in if they win are only 60%.

Region 20

1. Coldwater

Will be the top seed and host Marion Pleasant in the first round.

14. Versailles

Still technically alive but "would need a miracle" to get in.

Region 22

1. McComb

The Panthers have clinched an opening round home game.

The projections say the Panthers will beat Leipsic and be the #1 seed and will host BVC rival Arlington in the first round.

3. Leipsic

They are IN. Projected as the #3 seed hosting #6 Delphos St. Johns.

4. Delphos St. Johns

They are IN. They control their own destiny for a first round home game.

However, Pasteur has them losing to Minster, thus the #6 seed in the above scenario.

7. Arlington

Controls own destiny for playoff berth, cannot host a game.

9. Crestview

Still technically alive but "would need a miracle" to get in.

Region 24

1. Ada

Has clinched a home game. Projected to lose to L.C.C. and still finish #1 (host Waynesfield, more on that later).

2. Ft. Loramie

They're IN. Need to win and get a little help for a home game.

Projections have them winning this week and finishing at #4, hosting St. Henry.

3. Marion Local

They're IN. Need to win and get a little help for a home game.

Projections put them at 8-2 and the #3 seed, hosting Bradford.

4. Minster

They're IN. Control own destiny for a home game.

Projections say they'll beat St. Johns, finish #2 and host Tri-County North.

5. St. Henry

They're IN. Needs some help for a home game. Projections say they won't get the help and will finish #5 and head to Ft. Loramie.

8. Waynesfield

They control their own destiny.

If they beat Dayton Christian they will be in.

Pasteur's website says they still have a 91% chance of getting in ever IF THEY LOSE.
