Now that the high school football regular season has come to a close, it's time to revive my Top 10.

1. Coldwater

Chip Otten's crew lived up to its billing for the regular season, now it's time to take it all the way to a third state title.

2. Ottawa Glandorf

The Titans went 10-0 for the first time and have the playoff experience to make a deep run. They're main advantage is that their defense has proven it can shut down all types of offenses.

3. Lima Central Catholic

The T-Birds have grown throughout the season. Their schedule proved to be a tough slate as they played only two teams with a losing record and beat five teams with winning records (3 of them are playoff teams). Tough win at Ada to end season was a real "gut check".

4. Elida

The Dawgs shook off the "woulda, coulda, shoulda" game at O-G and really came on with Frosh QB Logan Alexander's insertion in the lineup keying an offensive revival while the D continued its strong play. Not having Alexander for postseason is a real roadblock for a team looking to match or exceed last year's run to the Division III State Semis.

5. Marion Local

The Flyers offense has struggled against some of the better teams but they're always a threat to win it all in Division VI

6. Minster

They're neck and neck with Marion Local. The two didn't meet in the regular season but the Wildcats beat Versailles, who handed ML one of their losses.

7. Wapakoneta

The Redskins survived the failed coup against Coach Doug Frye and were very close to being 9-1 or 10-0 rather than 7-3. This program will be strong every season as long as Frye is the coach.

8. McComb

The Panthers were 10-0 by a slim margin as they needed OT to beat Liberty Benton and downed Leipsic by a single point, 20-19. Those wins make them the best in the BVC and the favorite to win Region 22.

9. Ada

The Bulldogs played the worst non-league schedule possible (Hardin Northern and USV) which holds them back in the rankings but they're very good and I think this could be the year they break through and win the Region.

10. Celina

The Bulldogs suffered a narrow loss at O-G early in the season, a narrow loss at Kenton and a loss at Elida. Their 7-3 record is a little deceptive.
