Well, I was right and then wrong.
I thought the Spurs would bring it last night, knowing that a Game 7 on the road would be very risky. And they did bring it.
They just didn't finish it.
In the last 30 seconds two missed free throws and two missed defensive rebounds cost the Spurs the game, and almost certainly the Championship.
While LeBron James deserves credit for his overall game and the late three he made, the three he missed with :23 left should have ended the season. It was a horrendous brick which actually helped the Heat. The ball bounced around before the Heat tracked it down and got it back to James who did what you would expect, he knocked down a triple.
Then Ray Allen did the same, off another Miami miss, with 5 seconds to play to force overtime.
Manu Ginobli went from hero (24 points, 10 assits in Game 5 win) to goat (plus/minus of -21, career high 8 turnovers, missed free throw late in Game 6).
While some are calling Game 6 a "classic" I'll always think of it as the Spurs letting it get away by failing to do the simple things with a two possession lead in the final 30 seconds. It's unfortunate for them that they won't be able to cap the Duncan/Popovich dynasty with a fifth title.
Is there any doubt Mimai will win Game 7?

If I covered NBA, I would offer more serious analysis. But since I don't, I have feeling only some deer antler spray can save Spurs in G7.— Scott Carter (@GatorZoneScott) June 19, 2013
Do The Spurs ever jog back after a bad "no call"?? I may be wrong, but I only see DWade and LBJ do that!! #nbafinals— CoachSendy (@CoachSendy) June 19, 2013
If the useless save statistic were discontinued tomorrow, managers would do a much better job of managing.— Pete Abraham (@PeteAbe) June 19, 2013
