I continue my focus on local players on the BGSU football team in 2013 with Ada's Heath Jackson.
He has missed most of the last two seasons with knee injuries. Last year it looked like he would be in the rotation of regulars at the wide reciever spot until he suffered a knee injury in the preseason. He then got back on the field for BG's game at Virignia Tech only to get injured again, this time he was done for the season and had to have surgery.
With the entire position group returning, Jackson will have his work cut out for him in his pursuit of consistent playing time.

Also, I spoke with Delphos St. Johns product Chris Pohlman. He, like Taylor Royster, walked on and subsequently earned a scholarship as a fullback and special teams standout.
Pohlman's toughness and football smarts earned him playing time and respect quickly and he figures to be the starter at fullback the next two seasons after Tyler Beck graduates.
