Honda Indy 200 Recap

It was a busy weekend of racing action this past weekend at the Mid Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington.  The track was full of cars and stars seemingly constantly from early morning until evening.  A huge crowd filed in to see the event and they saw the Indycar superstar of the future and potentially this year's series champion as Josef Newgarden dominated the Honda Indy 200 for his third win of the season and moved into the points lead.  The fans were also energized by seeing Ohio's Graham Rahal again take to the podium with a third place finish and keep his title hopes alive.  Next for the Verizon IndyCar Series is the August 20th ABC Supply 500 at Pocono Raceway in Pennsylvania.

The Indy Lights presented by Cooper Tires had a doubleheader that saw Santi Urrutia take race one on Saturday and Nico Jamin capture Sunday's race two.  Kyle Kaiser heads into the next race on August 26th at Gateway Motorsports Park with a chance to clinch the title and the Indycar contract that comes with it.

We had another edition of The Pace Lap from the track on Sunday where I was joined by Michael Young, Mark Jaynes and Nick Yeoman as we previewed that day's race.  The show will be back on Saturday night August 26th at 8 as we get ready for IndyCar action from Gateway Motorsports Park just outside of St. Louis.

Special thanks to the Tom Ahl Family of Dealerships for their sponsorship of our racing coverage in 2017!
