Ohio Death Row Executions Moved Back

Lima, OH (WIMA) - Governor John Kasich has pushed back the most previously scheduled executions by a few months.

Kasich said he adjusted the schedule after a US Supreme Court ruling earlier this summer which upholds Ohio's three-drug lethal injection process.

He says the goal is to ensure that executions are carried out in a humane and professional fashion.

Allen County's death row inmate, Cleveland Jackson, is set to be executed on September 13th in 2018.

The latest execution is now set for April 21st, 2022.
